ASTM B575

Manufacturer, Supplier and Exporter of ASTM B575 PLATE, ASTM B 575 N06022, ASTM B575 C276

ASTM B575 Sheet Plate are Hastelloy sheet plates and they are manufactured by cold rolled or hot rolled processes. After this, these ASTM B575 Sheet, are solution annealed and they are also descaled. Descaling is not done, if the solution annealing is done in conditions that give the Hastelloy C22 Sheet a bright finish. The specification of ASTM B575 is of low Chromium-Molybdenum-Nickel-Carbon, of UNS N06022 and UNS N10276 and this is meant for use in applications and industries that need protection against general corrosion.

Hastelloy C276 Plate display superb resistance to strong solutions of oxidizing salts of the likes of cupric chloride and ferric chloride. These plates are used in many kinds of acidic environs. ASTM B575 Strip have the capacity to tolerate alkaline environs, as well as chlorine solutions. The difference between foil, plate and sheet, lies in the thickness of the metal. Plate is the thickest and foil is the thinnest.

Hastelloy C22 Plate are called plates, if they have a thickness which is equal to or greater than 0.25 inches. ASTM B575 UNS N10276 Sheet are defined as sheets, if their thickness is that of 0.006 inches or more, but it has to be less than 0.25 inches. Sheets are used to manufacture aircraft, office equipment, cars, farm equipment, trains, etc. Plates are mostly used for large structural parts such as ships, turbines, bridges and boilers.

We, Nirmaan Steel, are manufacturers and suppliers of Hastelloy Plate and these can be procured from us in sizes of 1500 mm x 3000 mm, 2000 mm x 4000 mm, 1000 mm x 2000 mm, 2000 mm x 2000 mm and 1220 mm x 2440 mm and thicknesses of 0.1 mm to 12 mm. B575 UNS N06022 Sheet are available with us in Hardness such as Spring Hard, Half Hard, Soft, Quarter Hard, Hard, etc., and in forms such as Flats, Plain Sheet, Coils, Ring (Flange), Foils, Strip, Rolls, Blank (Circle) and Shim Sheet. ASTM B575 – 17

ASTM B575 is a Standard Specification for Low-Carbon Nickel-Chromium-Molybdenum, Low-Carbon Nickel-Chromium-Molybdenum-Copper, Low-Carbon Nickel-Chromium-Molybdenum-Tantalum, Low-Carbon Nickel-Chromium-Molybdenum-Tungsten, and Low-Carbon Nickel-Molybdenum-Chromium Alloy Plate, Sheet, and Strip

ASTM B575 specification covers plate, sheet, and strip of low-carbon nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloys (UNS N10276, N06022, N06455, N06035, N06044, UNS N06058, UNS N06059),3 low-carbon nickel-chromium-molybdenum-copper alloy (UNS N06200), low-carbon nickel-molybdenum-chromium (UNS N10362), low-carbon nickel-chromium-molybdenum-tantalum alloy (UNS N06210), and low-carbon nickel-chromium-molybdenum-tungsten alloy (UNS N06686)

The ASME Sb 575 specification covers plate, sheet, and strip, which have been produced from low carbon nickel-chromium-molybdenum-copper alloy (UNS N06200), low-carbon nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloys (UNS N10276, N06022, N06455, N06035, UNS N06058, UNS N06059), low-carbon nickel-chromium-molybdenum-tantalum alloy (UNS N06210), as well as low-carbon nickel-chromium-molybdenum-tungsten alloy (UNS N06686). The main purpose for the development of the ASME Sb 575 alloy is for its use in general corrosive service. As specified in the ASTM B575 Pdf, materials used in the manufacture of the fore mentioned components have to conform to the required chemical composition. The ASTM B575 Chemical Composition consists of various elements such as aluminium, copper, molybdenum, chromium, iron, tungsten, cobalt, carbon, vanadium, phosphorus, silicon, manganese, sulphur, titanium, nickel, and tantalum. The alloy as specified in the ASME Sb 575 Pdf needs to conform to the required tensile properties such as yield strength, tensile strength, elongation, and Rockwell hardness. Additionally, sheets and strips must conform to the required grain sizes as in the ASTM B575 Pdf Free Download. Dimensions of all the three components i.e. –  plate, sheet and strip must confirm & shall be determined to the ASME Sb 575 Pdf with regards to varying parameters such as width, thickness, length, straightness, squareness, flatness and edges.

ASME Sb 575 UNS N10276 is also referred to as either Alloy C276 Plate or UNS N10276. This ASTM B575 UNS N10276  is an austenitic alloy, which consists of three primary elements i.e. – nickel, chromium & molybdenum with a small addition of tungsten. Alloy C276  is one of the most premier corrosion resistant materials available for applications involving the process industries.  ASME Sb 575 Alloy C276 has excellent resistance to corrosion in both oxidizing as well as reducing environments. The combination of a high content of both molybdenum and chromium in the alloy, together with the addition of tungsten, makes Alloy UNS N10276 highly resistant to chloride related stress corrosion cracking, crevice corrosion, pitting  and general corrosion.

Although ASTM B575 N10276 can operate in oxidizing atmospheres where the temperature can rise up to 1900°F, however, alloy C276 lacks sufficient chromium content required in order to operate successfully in the most strongly oxidizing environments for instance hot, concentrated nitric acid. Due to a low content of carbon in  ASTM B575 N10276 , the alloy can be utilized in an as welded condition. Though UNS N10276 cannot be hardened by heat treatment, it could be hardened by cold working the alloy. ASME Sb 575 UNS N10276 has a higher work hardening rate as compared to conventional austenitic stainless steels which should be taken into consideration. ASTM B575 material Alloy C276 can be easily welded and processed with the help of conventional shop fabrication techniques that can be used for austenitic stainless steels as well as nickel based alloys.

HASTELLOY C22 Plate is also referred to as ASTM B575 UNS N06022. Alloy C22, like alloy C276 consists of three primary elements that forms its alloy i.e. –  nickel, chromium & molybdenum, with the only difference being in the increase of the content of chromium in the alloy. Hence, ASTM B575 Material C-22 comes  with enhanced resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion as well as stress related corrosion cracking. Similar to alloy C276, ASTM B575 UNS N06022 resists the formation of grain boundary precipitate, which occurs in the weld-heat affected zone, thereby making the alloy suitable for use in the as-welded condition. ASTM B575 material C-22 has outstanding resistance to both reducing and oxidizing media. Precisely due to its ability to resist, the alloy is recommended to be used in applications where upset conditions are most likely to occur. ASTM B575 UNS N06022 possess excellent weldability and high corrosion resistance as consumable filler wires as well as  electrodes and it can be used  as a filler wire in many applications.

Alloy C-22 can easily be cold-worked due to it being ductile and cold-forming is the preferred method of forming the alloy. Although more energy is required in its processing because the alloy is generally stiffer as compared to standard austenitic stainless steel grades.
