ASTM B335 Bar is composed of nickel-molybdenum. ASTM B335 bars and round bars display fabulous resistance to reducing environs such as phosphoric acid, acetic acid, sulfuric acid and hydrogen chloride gas. At all temperatures and concentrations, Nickel Molybdenum Alloy Bar gives very strong resistance to hydrochloric acid. Bars made from Nickel Molybdenum alloy also show very good resistance to stress corrosion cracking, pitting and also to heat-affected zone and knife-line attacks.

Hastelloy B2 Round Bar Equivalent Grades are UNS N10665 and WERKSTOFF NR. 2.4617. Round bars of Hastelloy B2 are composed of an alloy of nickel-chromium, to which have been added small quantities of aluminum, columbium, molybdenum, titanium and iron. Round bars of Hastelloy B2 display superb resistance to corrosion, they have excellent weldability, they can be treated by heat, they have very good formability and they have very high strength. Round bars of Hastelloy B2 also have very good heat and cryogenic ranges. Because of their many superb characteristics, round bars of Hastelloy B2 are used in gas turbines, fasteners, subservice safety valves, tubing materials, thrust reversers, mandrels, industrial fasteners, aircraft engines, etc.
