ASTM B348 Bar displays superb corrosion resistance, it has very good weldability, it is heat treatable, it has high strength and it has very good formability. Titanium Grade 5 Round Bar is one of the most ductile and also one of the softest of all the nearly 40 grades of titanium. Titanium Grade 1 displays the best formability, amongst all these titanium grades. Titanium bars and round bars exhibit very good heat and cryogenic ranges. Titanium round bars and bars are used in various applications such as tubing materials, subservice safety valves, mandrels, fasteners, aircraft engines, etc.
Titanium Grade 2 Round Bar Equivalent Grades are WERKSTOFF NR. 3.7035 and UNS R50400. Titanium Grade 2 has a Density of 4.5 g/cm3 and an Elongation of 20%. The Yield Strength of Titanium Grade 2 is 39,900 Psi (275 MPa) and the Tensile Strength is 49,900 Psi (344 MPa). The Melting Point of Titanium Grade 2 is 3030 °F (1665 °C). The Chemical Composition of Titanium Grade 2 is Ti 99.2 min, N 0.3 max, C 0.1 max, H 0.015 max, Fe 0.3 max and O 0.025 max. Titanium Grade 2 is an alloy of nickel-chromium, to which has been added small quantities of titanium, iron, aluminum, columbium and molybdenum.

ASTM B348 is a Standard Specification for Titanium and Titanium Alloy Bars and Billets
ASTM B348 specification covers annealed bars and grills made from titanium or its alloys. ASTM B348 material grades covered should conform to the required chemical composition requirements. Elements that are intentionally added to the melt should be identified, analyzed and reported in the chemical analysis. Specimens for tension tests should be machined and the tensile properties determined using a specified strain rate through the yield strength and at an increasing rate. Each annealed material may be furnished as either descaled, sandblasted, ground, or rough turned.
