ASTM B473 Bar is a super alloy that is composed of chromium-iron-nickel, it is austenitic and to it have been added molybdenum and copper. Because of the molybdenum and copper in it, round bars of ASTM B473 material, exhibit fantastic resistance to crevice corrosion, pitting and hostile environments. Alloy 20 Round Bara has Equivalent Grades such as AFNOR Z2NCUD31-20AZ, WERKSTOFF NR. 2.4660, EN NiCr20CuMo and UNS N08020.  Alloy 20 has an Elongation of 30%, a Density of 8.1 g/cm3 and a Melting Point of 2430 °F (1443 °C).

Alloy 20 is composed of an alloy of nickel-chromium and to this have been added small amounts of aluminum, columbium, molybdenum, titanium and iron. Round bars of Alloy 20 have excellent weldability, they are treatable by heat, they have very good strength, they have superb formability and they display superb resistance to corrosion.

Standard Specification for UNS N08020, UNS N08024, and UNS N08026 Nickel Alloy Bar and Wire

ASTM B473 specification covers UNS N08020, UNS N08026, and UNS N08024 nickel alloy bar and wire. ASTM B473 alloys shall be furnished in the stabilized-annealed condition, solution-annealed condition, or annealed condition. ASTM B473 material shall conform to the requirements as to chemical composition prescribed. The material shall conform to the applicable requirements as to mechanical properties prescribed. Chemical analysis and tension test shall be made to conform to the requirements specified.
