Alloy 330 Tubing Pressure Rating
Allowable working pressures are calculated from an S value of 23 300 psi (160.6 MPa) for ASTM B163 and ASTM B423 Alloy 330 seamless tubing at –20 to 100°F (–28 to 37°C), as listed in ASME BPV 2007 Section II, Part D or ASME B31.3. For ASTM B704, Class 1 or equivalent welded and drawn tubing Alloy 330, multiply working pressure by 0.85.
Alloy 330 Pipe Fabrication Process
With reference to the alloy 330 pipe fabrication process, this can easily be accomplished by Plasma arc, SMAW and GTAW processes. But if optimum corrosion resistance is required, then the best process to be used would be GTAW. Annealing of Alloy 330 can be done at temperatures lying between 2050 to 2200 °F (1121 to 1204 °C). The Electrical Resistivity of Alloy 330 is 0.0001017 ohm-cm. Alloy 330 has a Magnetic Permeability of 1.02.
