Difference Between Hastelloy Tig & Hastelloy Welding Rod
Looking at it from another perspective, the difference between Hastelloy TIG & Hastelloy Welding Rod is negligible, as both of these provide excellent resistance to hypochlorite solutions, chlorine gas, seawater, chlorine dioxide and brine. Tungsten inert gas or TIG is also called as gas tungsten arc welding. In TIG welding, tungsten electrodes which are non-consumable, are used to make the weld. Hastelloy TIG is usually used to weld thin sections of metals. Hastelloy coated electrodes are used for cladding and overlaying of steels and they show excellent resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion.
