SA335 P92 Pipe Material
ASTM A335 P92 Seamless Pipe
A335 P92 material composition is that of Chromium 8.50–9.50, Silicon 0.50 max, Manganese 0.30–0.60, Ni (max) 0.4, B 0.001-0.006, Molybdenum 0.30–0.60, Cb 0.04-0.09, V 0.15-0.25, Phosphorus (max) 0.02, W 1.5-2.00, N 0.03-0.07, Carbon 0.07–0.13, Ti (max) 0.01, Al (max) 0.02, Sulfur(max) 0.01 and Zr (max) 0.01. The UNS Designation of A335 P92 is K92460. Because of their material composition, A335 P92 pipes are ideal for fusion welding, flanging, bending and similar types of forming operations. The material of A335 P92 pipes has to conform to hardness requirements, tensile property and composition.
ASTM A335 P92 ASME B36.10M range of pipes can be obtained right here at our website. A335 P92 pipes are primarily used in many industries that call for a high temperature service. ASME B36.10M pipes are obtainable in various thicknesses, sizes, grades and specifications and they can also be tailor-made to meet specifications of clients. These pipes are used in many different industries such as heavy engineering, oil & gas, ship building, power plants, etc. These ranges of pipes have the best features to offer such as anti-corrosiveness, durability, precision design, light weight, dimensional accuracy, longer service life and so much more.
A335 P92 pipe allowable stress is very high as these pipes are high pressure seamless boiler pipes. To confirm their stress worthiness, A335 P92 pipes undergo various kinds of mechanical tests such as bend or hardness test, flattening test, transverse or longitudinal tension test. The length of each and every A335 P92 pipe, is also subjected to hydrostatic testing. Plus, A335 P92 pipes also undergo other tests such as Mechanical Properties Test, Surface and Dimension Test, Chemical Composition Inspection and No-destructive Test, so as to ensure they meet the required stress standards.
SA335 P92 is primarily categorized by alloy or alloy percentage. In ASTM A335 P92 Pipe Molybdenum (MO) increases strength, hardness, hardenability, and toughness, as well as creep resistance and strength at elevated temperatures. It improves ASTM A335 Alloy Steel P92 EFW Pipe & AISI P92 ERW Pipes machinability and resistance to corrosion and it intensifies the effects of other alloying elements. In hot-work steels and high speed steels, it increases red-hardness properties of ASTM A335 grade P92 Pipes.

Carbon steel is a large category of steel that encompasses many varying chemical compositions. Each type of carbon steel requires different considerations when welding. For example if you choose Low carbon steel to weld which is typically the most readily welded steel in a room temperature environment. These low carbon steel suitable for welding include C1008, C1018, A36, A1011 and A500. Medium carbon steel such as C1045 typically requires preheat and post-heat treatment to avoid weld cracking. High carbon steel is even more prone to weld cracking than the other two groups of carbon steel. Welding high carbon steel will most likely require very thorough preheating and post-heating processes to avoid this. It could also require special welding filler metals.
ASTM A335 P92 Pipe welding is used extensively for pipe welding, aerospace, aviation, biomedical implants, fabrication of race cars, choppers, etc.
