Why Nickel 201 Pipes are used?
The reason why nickel 201 pipes are used are many and one of the primary reasons is because they are highly resistant to caustic alkalies, even in the molten state. Nickel 201 Tubing displays very good resistance to corrosion and it also has very high mechanical properties. Nickel 201 also has a low carbon content and as such it is immune to intergranular attacks, at temperatures greater than 315 °C. Also, as Nickel 201 has lower carbon content, nickel 201 pipes have the capacity to resist graphitization and as a result, they are less subject to embrittlement.
